Join Us as a Monthly Donor – Make a Lasting Impact
Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to support our work by becoming a monthly donor. It’s one of the most powerful ways you can help us continue rescuing and rehabilitating indigenous wild animals—through the good times and the tough ones.
You choose the amount. Every recurring donation, big or small, helps us build a more stable, sustainable future for the wildlife in our care.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of Friends of Free Wildlife. Men and women from all walks of life come together, united by a shared love for all living creatures.
From every corner of Gauteng, our volunteers dedicate their time, proudly wearing their Free Wildlife T-shirts as they step into a world of compassion, care, and purpose. At our centre, they provide essential support to injured, orphaned, and displaced indigenous wildlife, helping them heal and preparing them for a second chance in the wild.
Join us and become part of something truly meaningful — where every shift helps save a life.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old — and there’s no upper limit! Our current volunteers range in age from 18 to 85. As long as you’re in good health, reasonably fit, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to welcome you to the team.
All prospective volunteers are required to attend an orientation morning, typically held every 4–5 weeks on a Saturday. This session is essential for understanding the work we do and how you can get involved.
Please check our website or Facebook page for upcoming orientation dates and details.
We are open from 08h00 – 17h00 every day – 7 days a week – 365 days each year! There are two daily shifts from 08h00 – 13h00 and 13h00 to 17h00.
